Talk to a grower

Questions about a species, an order, or whether a plant will survive your particular windowsill. We would rather answer properly before you buy than process a return afterwards.

Send us a message

If it is about an existing order, include your order number. If it is a condition claim, attach photographs of the plant and the packaging.

Where we are

Rivonia, Sandton, Johannesburg. The nursery is not a walk-in retail shop — arrange a collection or viewing through the form first.

Condition claims: 48 hours

Damaged on arrival? Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the plant and the packaging, and keep the packaging until it is settled.

Shipping

Nationwide across South Africa. Plants travel bare-rooted or potted depending on species and size, wrapped to survive a courier network.

Exporting?

All Cactaceae are CITES-listed and Ariocarpus sits on Appendix I. Cross-border paperwork is the buyer's responsibility — ask before you order, not after.

Before you write in

Photographs, in daylight, of the whole plant and of the soil line where the body meets the mix. Tell us when you last watered, what the plant is potted in, and where it sits. Most problems we see are rot from a mix that holds water, not thirst — and rot is far easier to catch early than to reverse.

Ask through the form. We are in Rivonia, Sandton, but the nursery is not a walk-in retail shop, so collection needs arranging rather than dropping by.

Ask. What is listed in the shop is what is ready to go, but stock changes and some material is available outside the catalogue — particularly Trichocereus cuttings, which root readily once calloused.

Use the form and pick Bulk or wholesale. Tell us species, sizes and rough quantities. Trichocereus scales well; the slow genera do not, and we would rather say so upfront than quote you something we cannot fulfil.

Every product listing carries full cultivation notes with the winter rest corrected for the southern hemisphere, and the species page sets out range, growth rate and conservation status for all six. Most northern-hemisphere guides you will find elsewhere are six months out of phase with Johannesburg.
